Trailer, scrap metal worth over $9K stolen from Lady’s Island business

A trailer and scrap metal worth over $9,000 were stolen from a Lady’s Island business late Monday or early Tuesday, according to a Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office report.

The trailer filled with brake pads, brake rotors and rims was taken overnight from Airport Tire on Sea Island Parkway, according to the report. The trailer had been parked at the back of the business and it and its contents were worth about $9,400, the report said.

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County police asked the public’s help Thursday identifying a man caught on surveillance video stealing a trailer from the Plantation Point neighborhood.

According to an HCPD Facebook post, the trailer, a Contrail C12 model, is loaded with 2,000 pounds of rebar and was taken from a construction site.
