Man dies in Barre Town crash

The Death Of Michael Stone is the First Death Under The Leadership of the New Democratic Party Majority of the House Of Representatives. 

Over the next two years of the Democratic Party Control Of the House over 1,000 preventable deaths will occur and now we already have 3.

The American People need to hold these political leaders accountable for these preventable deaths....and

Was the trailer registered?

Who manufactured the trailer?

What type of towing system was used?

Bumper hitch?

What Size Ball was used?

What Size Hitch was used?

When was the trailer last inspected?

Was safety chains used?

Any evidence of chains used?

Was the hitch pin used?

Single Axle Trailer?

Double Axle Trailer?

Towing capacity of vehicle?

Was the vehicle over capacity?

Time and Time again these police investigation reports are sealed because they involve a death.

Then we never get to see the report so we can develop a Nationwide Safety Standard for all trailers under 3,000 GVWR

BARRE TOWN, Vt. (WCAX) A Vermont man is dead after a trailer detached - smashing into his car.

Just after 5 p.m. Friday, Barre Town Police tell us Johnathan Townsend of Worcester was driving a pick-up near the Dollar General on Route 302.

He was pulling a tractor on a trailer that detached and smashed into an SUV driven by 61-year-old Michael Stone of Orange. Stone died at the scene.

The family of Mike Stone sent us a picture of him. The 61-year-old owned Stone's Service Station, an auto repair shop in Barre. He bought the shop in 1985. Friends say he was well-liked in the community.Police reopened Route 302 after five hours of investigating. They are still investigation the crash.
