FedEx trailer detaches from rig, comes to stop in middle of I-80

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - A FedEx driver is in some trouble after his double-trailer rig came apart in the middle of Interstate 80 in Austintown on Wednesday.

State troopers said the driver had just left the terminal in Jackson Township when his rear trailer separated from the rest of the rig and came to a stop on the highway.

The driver managed to pull over, separate from the other trailer and then drive back around to get the wayward trailer off the road.

Amazingly, there were no other accidents because of this.

Troopers cited the driver for having an unsafe load.
