Tractor trailer incident is causing delays in Amherst County

AMHERST (WDBJ7) -- VDOT is reporting a logging truck incident on US-60 in Amherst County near Coffeytown Road.
The trailer part of the truck came loose and the logs fell out all over the road.
The West and East through lanes are closed.
According to Dispatch, the incident happened around 5:45 a.m. this morning.
Drivers can expect delays due to the incident.
No injuries were reported.
According to VDOT Lynchburg, a detour will be put into place as soon as possible.
Crews are working to get the area cleaned up now.

A portion of US 60 in Amherst County near Coffeytown Road is blocked this morning due to a crash. On the Amherst side, traffic is currently being stopped at the traffic circle. A detour will be put into place as soon as possible. The incident is likely to last for some time.

Another dangerous logging truck trailer comes loose...Questions must be asked.
Note: Virginia makes it very difficult to get these police reports it's like they protect these farmers and logging companies.
All Logging companies like this by - pass any Federal Safety Laws...It's like "Sanctuary Cities" These trailers are Sancturary Trailers.

No inspectins and it is clearly a king pin failure!
