$8.5k worth of property stolen from Little Rock equipment rental business

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Nearly $8,500 worth of equipment was stolen Wednesday night from a Little Rock equipment rental agency.

On Thursday afternoon, workers at Little Rock Equipment Sales, located along Interstate 30, told police they noticed that a mower and trailer were missing from the equipment yard.

Police say security footage they reviewed at the business showed two suspects steal the equipment about 11:53 p.m. the previous day.

Police say a man cut the locks off the front of the gate and drove what appeared to be a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban into the yard.

The suspect left the scene for a few minutes only to return with a second suspect.

Authorities say the suspects hooked the trailer up to the vehicle. Then, one of them left on foot while the other pulled the stolen trailer and mower behind his vehicle.

They were last seen going east on I-30 Frontage Road.
